How should I use CamelChat?
You can reach CamelChat from the contact center. The contact center Icon appears in the top menu when you log on to your camel.
There are a couple of things you need to know, so you won't have any surprises during chat. If you've used other chat programs before, your probaly clear with the rules, but it still doesn't hurt to go through them before diving head first into CamelChat.
The main goal of CamelChat is for the owners to get to know each other, get to talk to each other. The rules are there to make sure this goes as smoothly as possible:
- Don't use any nicknames that someone can find offensive!
- Don't flood! (This means sending a lot of messages in a short amount of time, in this case 3 lines in 2 seconds - noone types that fast.)
- Don't SHOUT! (Capital letters are much harder to read than small letters.)
- Show an example for the others and don't swear!
- If you have a dispute with someone, settle it privately. There isn't much point in hanging out the dirty laundry in the chat room!
- The chat is primarily for talking, and not for advertising. If you want to advertise your caravan, do it only every 30 minutes, and only six times per day!
Operators are there to make sure everyone keeps the rules. They have the opportunity to kick people out or ban them for a while.
